So, I’ve decided that I’m not going to continue my blog at http://www.mrdba.net. I do not wish to fight with web hosting anymore as I’ve had a number of performance problems on a very low traffic site. I originally purchased hosted space because I used to do a lot of web development in my spare time and figured I’d get some usage out of it. Turns out that I was wrong about that. As my career progresses, I’m becoming a bit more specialized and focusing on data. I’ll miss development but I won’t be gone from it forever. I still keep it as a hobby but I don’t really put enough time into it to publish anything of significance.
Anyway, if this is your first time reading my blog, then welcome. My name is Robert Biddle and I’m a database professional who has been working with database technology since 2001. I originally planned to be a Software Developer while I was in college but I seemed to have a knack at working with databases so I pursued the interest further. So you might be saying to yourself, “Okay, that’s nice, but why do you have this blog?” Quite simply, I’d like to share my experiences and knowledge with others while challenging myself to continue to learn.
